Client Experience

We are equally comfortable working on either a retained or a contingent basis. Our experience gained over many years, is that the best approach to recruitment is one that is flexible, which recognises that differing methods of recruitment suit different clients and situations, and that these can evolve over time.

A retained search will always be exclusive, and may on occasion involve an advertised element. However, typically our approach is to utilise our experience, network and research capabilities to comprehensively search the relevant market in order to produce rounded and considered short lists. We are very comfortable operating the long list/short list model traditionally favoured by executive search firms. Equally, experience has shown that this is unduly long-winded for some clients, who would prefer us to simply take the brief and deliver a high calibre short list to them. Whichever approach we decide upon, we will agree costs and timescales with you up-front, and provide regular updates on progress at each stage.

When working on a contingent basis, whether exclusively or alongside one or two others, we believe that both speed/momentum and quality are the key ingredients for success. Our approach is to err on the side of providing clients with a smaller selection of candidates, who match as closely as possible the ideal profile. Put simply, we believe it is far more desirable to provide you with two candidates you cannot choose between, than to provide you with five or six, none of whom quite hit the mark.

Outside of recruiting for active positions, we are also regularly asked to provide market reports/updates, and salary advice to clients.
