Kiyashni Kollapen-Ramjas

Kiyashni is a specialist legal recruiter in the Middle East, focusing exclusively on private practice placements across the GCC. She works with leading international and regional law firms on junior to partner-level hires and has built a strong network across the region over many years in the market.

She began her career in South Africa, completing a Bachelor of Commerce and LLB before training and qualifying as a lawyer. In 2020, she relocated to Dubai and joined a Magic Circle law firm as a Disputes Associate, gaining experience within a top-tier international practice. She moved into legal recruitment in 2021, bringing with her first-hand experience of private practice and a clear understanding of the career decisions lawyers face.

Since then, she has focused solely on Private Practice recruitment in the Middle East. She works closely with partners and HR teams on strategic growth plans across key practice areas, while also advising lawyers at key stages of their careers, from associates exploring their options to partners considering significant moves.

Kiyashni is passionate about what she does and genuinely values the relationships she builds with both clients and candidates. She is known for being straightforward, discreet and commercially aware, with a practical understanding of the regional market.

Outside of work, she enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends. She is a committed Formula One fan and will rarely miss a race on a Sunday. She also loves trying different cuisines and experiencing new cultures when travelling. Having relocated internationally herself, she appreciates the personal and professional considerations that come with building a career abroad.
