Mark Woodhouse

Mark joined MRA in November 2024, having previously worked at another legal recruitment firm for 8 years (in both London and Singapore). He studied law at the University of Surrey and, prior to switching to legal recruitment, he spent almost 4 years at the Crown Prosecution Service working on serious and complex criminal law matters. Mark relocated to Singapore from London in April 2019 and has focused exclusively on international law firm recruitment during his time working in the ‘Lion City’.

Mark has built strong relationships with the leading UK, US, international and offshore law firms in Singapore. He focuses on associate, senior associate, of counsel, and partner hires. He has made placements at almost every law firm in Singapore and has helped to shape entire departments for some of his key clients. He has supported a UK and a US law firm with launching offices in Singapore.

Mark is known for his deep market knowledge and being a trusted advisor to both local candidates looking to make the switch to an international law firm, as well as candidates overseas hoping to relocate to Asia. Over the years, Mark has facilitated moves from all over the world, in particular from London, Sydney, Melbourne, New York, Hong Kong, and Dublin.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys playing 7-aside football on Saturday’s and occasionally playing Rugby for the ‘Bucks’ in Singapore (when heavily persuaded). He loves travelling to and exploring new countries in Asia, reading non-fiction, watching Liverpool play, and exercising outside as much as possible (running, hiking, swimming, cycling).
