Founded in 2009, MRA Search is an international legal search agency which truly understands the legal market.
We have built an outstanding track record of success based on the cornerstone of providing a reliable, professional, and quality service to law firms, financial institutions, and companies around the world.
Our consultants are highly experienced in recruiting across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. We work with clients across the globe to build their teams at all levels, from newly qualified associates to senior and managing partners, legal counsel, heads of legal, general counsel and risk and compliance professionals. We place great importance on delivering the highest level of service to both clients and candidates at every stage of the process.
Our partner, associate, in-house and overseas divisions boast a wealth of market knowledge and experience. Our diligence, integrity, and passion, combined with our unrivalled knowledge of the international legal market, mean we can deliver demonstrable success in both contingent and retained searches.
We work in partnership with our clients, always prioritising the long term over the short term, so we can add much more to a recruitment process than simply providing CVs. A key mark of success for us is when our candidates become our clients, enabling us to enjoy the benefits of long-term relationships developed over many years.
MRA Search has quickly established itself as a leader and trusted player in the legal recruitment industry. We have expanded our business and now have 50 employees across five locations globally.
History
The MRA Search journey began in a serviced office of three people in 2009, with the goal to build a business with a difference.
The company’s foundations were based on a vision to be value-led whilst remaining driven and successful. We aim to nurture and grow new talent, be inclusive, and promote collectiveness over individualism.
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to lead and share in the rewards of this business. The key founding principle at MRA Search was that it would be an employee-owned business.
There are now 12 shareholders in the company and there remain no barriers to entry. This approach has enabled us to retain talented and dedicated consultants, many of whom are still with us today as shareholders of the business. This is core to the success of MRA Search.
Our company has grown to nearly 50 consultants in London, Hong Kong, New York, Singapore and Milan. We have ambitious plans to continue this growth. However, our key founding principle and belief remains the same as it was on the day we launched.
Our history timeline
The start of the MRA Search journey. We established ourselves in a small, serviced office in London.
We expanded to ten consultants in two years, outgrowing our first office.
MRA Search goes international. We opened our first overseas office, in Hong Kong.
We experienced our biggest year of growth to date, almost doubling in size within 12 months to 34 consultants.
We had our most successful financial year ever in 2021. We also opened in Milan, our third overseas location.
We opened our fourth MRA Search location, with the launch of our office in Singapore.
We took on the Big Apple and opened our fifth office in New York.
