Richard Hanks

Richard has extensive experience of recruiting for positions within the in-house market, at all levels up to and including Heads of Legal/General Counsel, and across a very broad spectrum of disciplines. He has experience across a variety of sectors but specialises in the banking, financial services and professional services markets.

Prior to joining MRA Search, Richard worked for many years as partner in another leading international legal recruitment firm. He managed the In-house Banking and Financial Services Team, recruiting for a range of top-tier clients.

Prior to moving into legal recruitment, Richard trained and qualified as a solicitor with Travers Smith having studied law at the University of Bristol. Outside work, Richard is a plodding but enthusiastic participant at Parkrun every Saturday morning. Other ways he tries to ignore his age include going to as many indie gigs as he can reasonably get away with, and continuing to believe he can take on his faster, fitter son on the tennis court.
